THE JAKARANDA HOUSES   | Kayaköy,Fethiye

Located in the historically rich and naturally serene landscape of Kayaköy, this residence offers a living space that respectfully blends traditional stone architecture with contemporary lines. The main design approach is centered around creating a spatial experience that is both simple and characterful, fully integrated with its natural surroundings.

The layout is organized on a single level, orienting all functional units toward the central courtyard. Emphasizing user comfort and fluidity, the design incorporates stone walls as prominent structural and aesthetic elements, while shaded pergolas create a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Interior spaces feature a neutral color palette, natural textures, and surfaces shaped by light. The living room and kitchen are designed as a cohesive volume, with furniture selections, material choices, and lighting that together establish a calm yet refined atmosphere. The kitchen combines natural wood finishes, matte surfaces, and linear lighting to achieve a contemporary sense of functionality.

The bedrooms are designed with a soft tonal palette, floor-integrated furniture details, and pure geometries that promote tranquility. In the master bathroom, the freestanding bathtub and natural stone cladding evoke a modern spa-like ambiance.

Outdoors, the courtyard defined by stone walls features a swimming pool, sun loungers, and open-air seating areas, reinterpreting the Mediterranean lifestyle. Carefully selected plantings and stone elements compose a landscape that feels organically connected to the environment.

Overall, this project presents a timeless architectural approach that balances traditional context with contemporary living, offering a residence that is both serene and grounded in nature.
