ZAYA HOMES | Fethiye,Muğla
This project is a single-story modern villa conceived as a horizontal volume that melds seamlessly with the ground plane. A broad overhanging roof blurs the line between interior and exterior spaces.
-
Architectural Massing & Materials
– The exterior alternates natural black volcanic stone cladding with smooth white plaster. Stone columns and wall panels lend both structural clarity and a local, tactile character.
– The deep cantilevered eave controls the sun’s east-west path: shading the interiors in summer while welcoming the lower winter sun. -
-
Indoor–Outdoor Continuity
– Wide sliding glass doors fuse the terrace with the living room, dining area, and kitchen into one fluid space. Daylight and views flow uninterrupted throughout.
– A steel-framed bamboo pergola on the terrace weaves a delicate canopy of shade, casting gentle light patterns over the tropical planting below. -
-
Terrace & Pool Layout
– The slender plan positions the pool directly in front of the façade, creating a calming focus on water movement.
– Lounge seating and daybeds by the pool echo the warm wooden furniture palette found inside. -
-
Spatial Organization
– From the entrance onward, a choreography of “cool” stone and “warm” wood textures guides circulation.
– Living, dining, and kitchen zones are distinct yet lie on a single plane for a continuous experience; curved partition walls mark transitions to the bedrooms and bathrooms. -
-
Private Retreats
– Guest bedrooms and the master suite occupy a separate wing, each with large openings onto the garden that ensure both privacy and connection.
– A small interior courtyard, planted with native greenery beneath a skylight, functions as a mini tropical oasis, carrying daylight deep into the plan. -
In sum, this villa blends traditional stone masonry with contemporary minimalism to offer a luminous, open-plan home in constant dialogue with its natural surroundings.
