THE PARGOS VILLAS | Kayaköy,Fethiye
This project reinterprets Mediterranean indoor–outdoor living in sculptural terms through a flowing, organically shaped horizontal volume.
Exterior & Façade Composition
-
The roof plane, wrapped like a “reptile” skin in soft curves, defines the horizontal axis while providing sunshade and rain protection.
-
Full-height sliding glass panels along the volume dissolve boundaries between terrace, lounge, and dining areas, seamlessly integrating the outdoors.
-
Horizontal timber slat screens afford privacy and shade control, imparting rhythmic texture to the façade.
-
An organically contoured burnt-orange mosaic border at the pool’s edge punctuates the volume with a vivid accent and forges an elegant link between ground plane and water.
Indoor–Outdoor Continuity & Material Palette
-
The dark-gray terrace paving feels like a natural extension of the interior floor, with almost imperceptible material transition.
-
Inside, deep stone-look porcelain floors paired with black ceiling planes create dramatic contrast, spotlighting furnishings and lighting fixtures.
-
On the terrace, natural linen upholstery and light wood tones carry the interior’s warm accents into the landscape.
Interior Organization
-
An open-plan layout unfolds from entry through living, dining, and kitchen in a continuous flow.
-
A planted glass screen in front of the kitchen island brings a “room garden” effect inside, doubling as a functional greenhouse feature.
-
A modular sofa in rich orange anchors the living area, while dynamic overhead lighting serves as an expressive focal element.
Private Quarters
-
Approaching the bedroom, the curving volume wraps around like a private cocoon.
-
A circular ceiling aperture casts natural daylight into the space like starlight, and adjacent planting reinforces the “indoor garden room” atmosphere.
-
Corner shower and freestanding tub are treated as integral to the bedroom, blending comfort and luxury in a minimalist gesture.
Conclusion
By transcending conventional villa typologies with fluid forms, contrasting textures, and bold color highlights, this design offers a sensorial living experience that engages the Mediterranean landscape—at once dramatic and intimate, sculptural yet supremely functional.
