THE SOHO HOUSES | EXCLUSIVE 27 | Fethiye,Kayaköy
Project Evaluation – Fethiye, Kayaköy
This villa project in Kayaköy presents a seamless dialogue between architecture and its natural surroundings. The design prioritizes clean geometries, restrained material palettes, and an understated luxury that feels both timeless and site-specific.
-
Form & Layout:
The house is composed of a single-story volume with a strong horizontal presence. Its cubic geometry is softened by surrounding vegetation and carefully curated outdoor spaces. The inward-looking plan and expansive openings ensure a strong connection to the private garden and pool. -
Material Use:
The design utilizes matte plaster surfaces combined with natural textures such as wood and stone, reflecting both local construction heritage and modern design language. The exterior’s light-colored surfaces prevent overheating, while interiors are enriched with tactile contrasts—like the dark wood cabinetry and natural stone countertops. -
Spatial Experience:
The interior maintains a consistent language of softness and flow. Arched volumes, rounded furniture, and indirect lighting create a serene atmosphere. Bedrooms are generous in layout, offering garden views and integrated bathing zones, promoting a sense of retreat. -
Landscape Integration:
Surrounded by native Mediterranean flora, the project preserves the essence of the region. Tall palms, low shrubs, and flowering ground covers integrate naturally with the hardscape, creating a secluded but open ambiance. -
Sustainability Aspects:
The orientation, thermal mass of materials, and shaded terraces all contribute to passive comfort strategies. While minimal in form, the architecture demonstrates a respect for energy efficiency and local climate conditions.
